Gulshan attack: Tahmid gets release

A Dhaka court on Wednesday released Tahmid Hasib Khan, a Canadian university student, from all charges in Gulshan cafe attack case.

Metropolitan Magistrate Md Nur Nabi passed the order after Humayun Kabir, an inspector of counter terrorism unit and investigation officer, appealed for clearing Tahmid.

Earlier on Sunday, Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Laskar Sohel Rana granted bail to Tahmid Hasib Khan.

A total of 22 persons were killed by the terrorists in the July 1 attack on an upscale cafe at capital’s Gulshan area.

Tahmid, who was seen holding gun and walking along the terrorists in couple of pictures taken by a man from a flat adjacent to the bakery, was arrested on August 4.
