Grameenphone Ltd. has signed Wasfia Nazreen as its brand ambassador. Wasfia, the first and only Bangladeshi to summit the seven highest mountains in all seven continents, will work together with Grameenphone to empower the society.
Wasfia began her epic adventure in 2011 to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence and the progress women have made in this short time showing resiliency in all fronts.
In 2015, she went on to become the first Bangladeshi and only Bengali to complete the Seven Summits, upholding Bangladesh in the global platform through a very rare record, says a press release.
About her becoming the brand ambassador of Grameenphone, an elated Wasfia said, ‘I feel proud to be involved with a trusted brand like Grameenphone! In 2016 she was chosen again as a National Geographic Emerging Explorer, becoming the first female to hold both adventurer and explorer titles in the Society.
